大竹 寛子
Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, Department of Painting, Japanese Painting in 2006, and completed the doctoral program in Japanese Painting at the same university in 2011, earning a doctorate in Art Research.
Awarded the Emerald Prize of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 2014, and stayed in New York under the Agency for Cultural Affairs Overseas Study Program for Emerging Artists in 2015-2016.
In 2019, he donated his work "Psyche" to the Vatican City on the occasion of the Pope's visit to Japan.
Based on the traditional techniques of Japanese painting, which he has studied for many years, he has developed a new style of Omote-en-porn using foil and mineral pigments, which has been highly acclaimed both in Japan and abroad.
